ReelFarm vs DumbSMM (2026): TikTok Slideshows or Free Short Videos?

ReelFarm (also searched as "reel farm") keeps a faceless TikTok page fed with slideshows that send people to your website. DumbSMM, the tool we make, does something else: short videos, posted to three apps, for $0. Picking between them mostly comes down to one thing: slides or video.

We read ReelFarm's pricing section, FAQ, API docs, changelog and terms. We did not buy a paid plan.

What is ReelFarm?#

ReelFarm is a web app that uses AI to write faceless TikTok photo slideshows, finds images for them on Pinterest, and auto-publishes them to TikTok on a schedule. Its footer puts it plainly: "Automate TikTok slideshows that drive traffic to your website."

You give an "automation" a list of hooks, a style prompt, some image collections and a posting schedule. It writes the hook, body and CTA slides, renders each slideshow and posts it. It also makes AI UGC selfie images and videos, "Hook + Demo" product videos and greenscreen meme videos, for founders, e-commerce sellers and agencies running faceless TikTok pages.

Track record: thin. ReelFarm launched on Product Hunt in October 2024 as a YouTube automation tool and relaunched for TikTok on January 20, 2026. Independent reviews are scarce (see the FAQ), and the newest changelog entry was dated March 14, 2026 when we checked.

Not to be confused with ReelsFarm (reelsfarm.com), a different product with its own pricing and trial. This article is about reel.farm.

ReelFarm pricing in 2026#

ReelFarm has three paid plans in 2026: Growth at $49 a month, Scale at $95 a month and Enterprise at $195 a month, all billed monthly. There's no yearly option; the terms say "Billing occurs monthly."

Every paid plan includes TikTok publishing and scheduling, unlimited TikTok accounts, unlimited team members and "API access + Skill.md." Cost per slideshow is plain division ($49 / 100) and assumes you use the whole allotment, since credits reset each billing cycle.

The rest of ReelFarm's fine print#

ReelFarm's terms of service are worth a read before you connect a client's account:

• AI avatars you create "become part of ReelFarm's shared asset library," under a perpetual, worldwide license.
• Moodboard images come "without any warranties of ownership, licensing, or right of use," and you indemnify ReelFarm.
• "We do not maintain backups of user data."
• "Claims must be filed within 24 hours of the incident in question."
• Downtime is paid back in credits, not money.

ReelFarm vs DumbSMM at a glance#

Both tools auto-post short-form content, but ReelFarm makes TikTok slideshows for a monthly fee, while DumbSMM makes short videos for three apps for free.

One slideshow a day (30 a month) fits easily inside Growth, at about $1.63 per post. The cheap per-slideshow prices need big volume: 750 a month is 25 posts a day. That takes several TikTok accounts if you publish directly, since ReelFarm's API docs say TikTok rejects a 7th publish within 24 hours on one account.

Where ReelFarm wins#

ReelFarm wins anywhere the job is "post TikTok slideshows without touching them," and it isn't close.

• Slideshows, end to end. DumbSMM doesn't make slideshows at all. ReelFarm's AI writes the slides and pulls images from Pinterest (or your uploads), with fonts, overlays, grid layouts, four aspect ratios and slide text in languages such as Japanese and Thai.
• Real autopilot. "Set up once, and it runs forever." An automation works through your hook list and posts a new slideshow on schedule, with no input per post.
• Templates and a format library. You can browse slideshows real businesses post, filter them by most viewed, and start from pre-built automation templates.
• AI UGC selfies. It generates AI selfie images and videos. DumbSMM has no AI avatars.
• Agency scale at $49. Unlimited TikTok accounts and team members on every plan. DumbSMM has no team seats.
• An API and a Claude Code skill. You can script slideshows, automations, schedules and TikTok publishing.
• More TikTok controls. You can send posts to TikTok drafts (which ReelFarm says avoids that 6-a-day limit), set visibility, toggle comments, duets and stitches, and let TikTok add trending music.
• TikTok analytics. Per-post views, likes and shares, plus a "Top 5 posts" dashboard. DumbSMM has nothing comparable.
• A useful playbook. The FAQ covers warming up accounts and fixing pages stuck at "0 views." If the For You page still feels like a black box, read it even if you never pay.

Where DumbSMM wins (full disclosure: we make it)#

DumbSMM wins on price and reach. It's free, and it auto-posts video to TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts instead of TikTok alone.

• It's free. There are no paid plans today, and that includes signed-in scheduling and auto-posting. ReelFarm costs at least $49 a month once the 3 free TikToks are gone.
• Three platforms, natively. AutoPost publishes to TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. ReelFarm's FAQ tells you to repost to Instagram and YouTube Shorts yourself.
• Clips from long videos. The AI clip maker turns a YouTube link or an upload into captioned vertical clips with no watermark. ReelFarm doesn't clip.
• UGC-style product videos, no subscription. The short video maker builds a stock reaction clip, hook text and your product demo, plus memes. It's a similar idea to ReelFarm's paid Hook + Demo and greenscreen meme formats, except it costs nothing.
• Posting that backs off. Once a day, DumbSMM compares each account's recent views with its usual numbers. If one platform dips to near zero, it slows only that platform and emails you a recovery checklist. With ReelFarm, that watching is your job.
• Posting times that learn. Once posts have history, AutoPost favors the hours and weekdays that got the most views. ReelFarm posts at times you set.
• No account to start. The public tools work without signing up. ReelFarm requires a Google account.

What DumbSMM doesn't do: slideshows, AI avatars, team seats, a public API or a real analytics dashboard. It's also a young product with no G2, Capterra or Trustpilot reviews to point to.

Which should you pick?#

The format decides it: pick ReelFarm for TikTok slideshows, and DumbSMM for short videos on three platforms at $0.

Pick ReelFarm if...

• you want photo slideshows. DumbSMM can't make them, so this one's easy.
• you run several faceless TikTok pages, or a team, and want unlimited accounts and seats.
• you want a new post every day without writing any of them.
• you want an API, or Claude Code, driving your TikTok content.
• you want TikTok analytics in the same tool that posts.

Pick DumbSMM if...

• you'd rather pay $0 than $49 to $195 a month.
• you want video (UGC-style hooks, product demos, memes) rather than slides.
• you post to Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts too, not just TikTok.
• you have long videos or podcasts to cut into clips.
• you want posting that adapts its timing and slows down when views dip.

Is ReelFarm free, and is there a free trial?#

ReelFarm lists no ongoing free plan and no time-limited trial. Its homepage offers to "Make 3 TikToks" for free, once, without saying what that covers or whether there's a watermark. After that, publishing starts at $49 a month. The 5-day trial you may have seen belongs to ReelsFarm (reelsfarm.com), a different product.

How much does ReelFarm cost per month?#

ReelFarm costs $49 a month for Growth (100 slideshows), $95 for Scale (250 slideshows) and $195 for Enterprise (750 slideshows), in October 2026. All plans are billed monthly, with no yearly discount.

Is ReelFarm legit?#

ReelFarm is a real product, but its independent track record is thin. On October 12, 2026, Trustpilot showed a 3.2 TrustScore from one 1-star review, Product Hunt showed 3.0 from 2 reviews by founders of related products, and Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice showed 0 reviews. The negative reviewer, who says his customers saw no sales, runs another AI product, so treat that as one unverified claim. ReelFarm also pays affiliates 30% for 6 months, so read glowing third-party reviews with that in mind.

Does ReelFarm post to Instagram and YouTube?#

No. In 2026 ReelFarm auto-publishes to TikTok only, and its FAQ suggests reposting to Instagram, LinkedIn or YouTube Shorts yourself. YouTube upload shows up in its terms and privacy policy, likely left over from the 2024 YouTube product, but not on the current pricing or feature pages.

What is the best ReelFarm alternative?#

How do I cancel my ReelFarm subscription?#

Open the ReelFarm dashboard, click your profile card at the bottom of the sidebar, then click "Billing" and "Cancel Subscription." ReelFarm's terms say you can cancel any time. Refunds are prorated only if you've used 25% of your credits or less.

Is ReelFarm the same as ReelsFarm?#

No. ReelFarm lives at reel.farm, while ReelsFarm at reelsfarm.com is a different product with its own pricing, including a $19-a-month Starter plan and a 5-day trial. Some directory listings, such as Capterra's "Reels Farm" pages, describe the other one. Check the URL before you sign up.
